The AGCSC Soaring Forecast Alert system is provided as a courtesy to the local soaring community. It was inspired by services such as Yahoo! Alerts that continuously monitor dynamic content such as news articles or stock quotes and then send you alerts by e-mail when certain user specified content is encountered.
Many soaring pilots closely monitor the local soaring forecast that is posted twice a day to the NOAA web server. This system can free you from the drudgery of manually checking the forecast every day. It monitors the content of the forecast and can send you alerts by e-mail when the forecast is predicting favorable soaring conditions. You can configure the system to your individual tastes as to what conditions should be deemed favorable. You can also configure the system to simply send you a copy of the latest soaring forecast as soon as it becomes available from the NOAA web server.
